High School Summer Tryouts

Our program offers various levels of travel teams during the summer season. At the younger, middle, and elementary school ages, our program offers travel teams who practice multiple nights a week and play in regional tournaments and local scrimmages. For our high school years, we prepare our teams for the opportunity to play in college. Depending on the team and their overall skill level our high school teams could play in tournaments in the Southeast region, or travel to elite recruiting tournaments in Maryland, Pennsylvania, or Northern Virginia. Our program takes pride in assisting anyone who would like to pursue playing college lacrosse to reach those goals. Therefore, our level of commitment and amount of travel is dependent on the team that a player makes after our tryouts. Attending our free tryout is the best way for us to properly assess what team you should play for.

High School Summer Team Tryouts:

Tryouts for high school-age players will be held on Saturday, January 11th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Homestead Park in Chapel Hill. Returning players from the fall or previous summer season need to be reevaluated during our winter tryouts to confirm their place in our program.

Youth Summer Team Tryouts:

Hilltopper youth teams are considered any team that is currently in middle school or younger. Unlike our high school tryouts, we offer our returning middle school players the opportunity to reserve their spots in our program for the spring season. We will hold our spring tryouts in April and will announce this date once the quarterly Chapel Hill field allocations are assigned. We have found that many players in our area start lacrosse at the middle school level and that many new players see exponential growth in their game throughout the spring season. We will make team assignments after the spring tryout for middle school players.
